The winner has proven a willingness to help others, assist entrepreneurs, and be an advocate for integrity, honesty, and transparency in the sale and acquisition of businesses. MVI award winners set the standards by which VR prides its organization.
VR Business Brokers / Mergers & Acquisitions, a leader in the sale of privately held companies, is pleased to announce that Robert McCormack, owner of VR located in Lewisburg, PA has been awarded the VR Most Valuable Intermediary Award (“MVI”) for 2020.
The MVI is part of the “VR Big 3”, and winning it is the highest honor an individual can achieve in VR. Mr. McCormack now joins Tim Bullard, and William Park as the only two-time winners.
In a year filled with additional challenges Mr. McCormack, led the VR organization by example. Along with being VR’s MVI, Bob also was the organization’s “#1 Owner” for personal production, owner of the “#1 VR Office”, and recipient of the “VR Mergers & Acquisitions Award”. Mr. McCormack also served as President of the M&A Source trade association and taught investment banking classes at a local university.
Prior to joining VR, Bob served as president and chief executive officer of Sun Bancorp, Inc., a diversified financial service holding company with over $1 billion in assets. During his leadership at Sun, Mr. McCormack negotiated numerous acquisitions of banks and other financial services companies, therefore growing the asset base, geographic reach, and revenue streams. Bob has attained his Certified Business Intermediary (“CBI”) and Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary (“M&AMI”) designations, is a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) and is Accredited by the Institute of Business Appraisers (“AIBA”).
